Just got back to "Chalet" from one of the biggest blowouts that I've ever been apart of but unfortunately I was on the losing end of this thrashing! Not really upbeat but the show must go on. This month Philwaukee & I have been visiting several spots in Lebanon. We have a ton of touristy pics from our travels. Here's one of us dining on some traditional Lebanese cuisine. No offense to my Chinese compadres but compared to the food that we had in Shanghai/Beijing this Middle Eastern meal was GOURMET. I am thankful to see & experience these cultures. Video footage coming soon!

Christmas In Lebanon.
Jack Frost was not nipping at our nose this year. Growing up in the frigid winters of Milwaukee our Christmas' were normally ones filled with snow, mind numbing temperatures that would make a polar bear cringe & the typical scenes one can view on television during the holidays. This year Philwaukee & I weren't fortunate enough to make it back home which was disappointing because since childhood X-Mas has been an important time of the year for us. Today while watching old MARTIN Christmas episodes, we shared holiday stories that have stuck with us over the years. I find the impact that the holiday spirit can have on a child that follows them to adulthood to be incredible. What wasn't mentioned during our reminiscing was the presents or material things that children become all too familiar with during December. We both realized that what was most cherished about Christmas included family traditions, gatherings, holiday cheer & timeless memories that will always remain with us wherever we travel.
Here in Lebanon we can't recreate the Milwaukee X-Mas settings that we grew up around but there's a sufficient seasonal atmosphere when you go out to stores, malls, etc...we actually saw a skinny Santa riding a scooter. We had traditional Lebanese food for our Christmas Eve dinner ,Philwaukee plays old-school Jackson 5 Christmas music so the yuletide ambiance has been in full effect. We wish you the best of times with your friends & family. Hopefully amongst the eating, caroling, gift unwrapping & whatever rituals you may partake in, people won't forget to take the time to think about the significance of this special day. God gave us the greatest gift of all, the savior. Have a blessed Christmas!

Chris Miss.
This is a holiday classic! I remember when they would have "The Christmas Story" marathons & would air the movie all night. Those were the days. May your holiday be filled with quality family time, love, blessings & appreciation for the small things that we tend to take for granted. I miss the family back in the states but duty calls. Merry Christmas to all!

The Color Of Love.
Without the concept of swirl in this world we would be without great human beings such as Obama, Halle Berry, Prince, Alicia Keys, Christopher "Kid" Reid from "Kid N' Play", Rashida Jones & one of my favorites LISA BONET. Mikey McFly has an interesting perspective on the popularity of interracial dating/marriage. We always have entertaining discussions on the topic. In this day & age, I believe our society should look past skin color & accept the cultural differences. It is what made America the country that it is today. Love is color blind. Word to Stevie.

KRS Kringle Responds.
KRS-One (Santa Claus) Vs. Lupe Fiasco (Blitzen). This "battle" is more entertaining than most of the past rap beefs that have occurred in recent memory. Nike Basketball always delivers the goods with these commercials. Go Lupe!

Happy Birthday To "U" Philwaukee.
Dedicated to the homey PHILWAUKEE, Happy Born Day! Today marks the anniversary of his entrance into this world & what an addition to it he has been! A trusted friend, family member (yeh we're technically like 4th cousins) & co-pilot blogger. I can honestly say that my life would have taken a different turn if it weren't for his unconditional friendship, counsel & support. May your days be filled with love & blessings Philwaukee. "U" deserve the best birthday wishes that can possibly come to a person. Folks out there don't front like Sesame Street wasn't a highlight of your childhood television experience. Most 80's babies should understand the realness. Philwaukee this one is for "U".
